Jacaranda 2010 begins where benzoin does, the smoky sweetness of brown gum drawing you in. Underneath the opening, styrax deepens into burned wood glazed with dark resin, and vetiver answers as smoky grass roots over volcanic soil. Leather weaves in as saddle grain with smoky polish. In the end it is warm and balsamic, a resinous, earthy centre anchored by leather.
