What does Absinthe smell like?

Absinthe starts quietly, leather unfolding as supple hide warmed by the hand. At the core, narcissus reads as a sunlit flower with animalic depth, styrax drifting in as a blackened gum glow in dusk. A thread of patchouli runs across — damp leaves warming over roots — and vetiver follows as woven roots cooling in ocean air. In the end it is damp and mineral, an earthy, leathery centre anchored by balsamic resins and white florals.
