Saffron Mandarin begins where ylang-ylang does, the slow richness of yellow flowers drawing you in. Below the surface, benzoin turns to a rich balsam glow in still air and saffron answers as a coppery strand between fingers. Toward the top, petitgrain reads as sunlit leaves over pale woody sap and blood orange as juice the color of diluted garnet. Worn, it reads warm and balsamic — a resinous, spicy centre brightened by citrus and white florals.
