Fougeres Marines by Montale unfolds slowly, fern settling first as young fiddleheads opening after rain. At its heart, musk reads as warm cotton holding a human trace, met by patchouli — humid soil clinging to cut stems. Lavender weaves in — purple hush drifting through noon heat — while oakmoss settles as tree moss holding rain and shadow.
